Description: WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children, and is an income-based supplemental nutrition program for Pregnant, Breastfeeding, and Postpartum Women, Infants, and Children under the age of five. Here at the WIC office on base we serve families with a military ID that live in Washington. Families that receive WIC will receive nutrition and breastfeeding information, support, and referrals, as well as checks for healthy foods.

Description: The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a nonprofit organization that services active duty and retired members of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, as well as their families. The Visiting Nurse at NMCRS provides FREE in-home visits to moms and babies. The visiting nurse brings a hospital-grade infant scale and will weigh your baby to ensure that he/she is getting adequate nutrition. Families who request a home visit will also receive breastfeeding information and support, resource referrals, and health education on a variety of topics (including postpartum care, cord care, growth milestones, crying, and sleeping patterns).
